Finding decent cheap accommodation is fairly difficult. There are, however, a number of guesthouses and apartment, a list of which is published by the Aruba Tourism Authority. Rental charges of apartments range from US $ 30 to US $ 80 while guesthouses are only slightly cheaper. Located in the Low-Rise Hotel district of Oranjestad, the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort is directly across from Druif Beach on the island of Aruba. The nine-hole golf course, which guests receive discounts for, borders an artificial lagoon encircling an island with a negative-edge pool, a swim-up bar, a sundeck, a children's pool and a jetted tub. Two more freeform pools and a jetted tub are located on site, and guests receive complimentary access to a large beachfront fitness center. Computers with high-speed Internet access are available for a fee at a nearby resort, which the resort provides complimentary shuttle service to. Complimentary activities include dance classes, karaoke, children's activities, bingo and lessons in Papiamento, Aruba's local language. Guest laundry facilities and barbeque grills are located on site. The 24-hour front desk staff can assist with tour planning, dry cleaning, currency exchange, concierge and business services. The resort offers 214 suites in two-, three- and five-story buildings, with elevators in the five-story buildings only. Each suite has a furnished balcony with pool, garden or sea views. Fully equipped kitchens feature cooktops or ranges, refrigerators and microwave ovens. Cable television with premium channels is standard and Internet access is available via television for a fee. Bathrooms feature jetted-tub/shower combinations. Other standard amenities include VCRs or DVD players, in-room safes and stereos.
